I played with some colors a bit on this one, but I don't think it was obvious which characters these were. Looking back, I should've put some sort of Spider-man thing in there. Oh well! This was part of the first sketchbook, and I haven't really drawn MJ or Gwen since.

I'm curious, do you draw these in pencil first, then outline them in colored pencil? or is it all purely colored pencil?

Actually, it depends on my mood I guess. Sometimes I'll go some rough gesture drawings in pencils, then clean it up in colored pencil. Other times I'll do the rough in colored pencil. Part of it depends on if I'm familiar with the character and the pose.
