So here's something different than most of the stuff I've got in my gallery. It's part of the Baby Boomers sketchbook I did up. When my husband and I were chatting about new ideas, we mixed some 'standard' baby things and matched them with characters or situations that we thought would be fun. I really enjoyed doing up this last sketchbook since the subject matter was vastly different, and kind of applicable to our lives at the moment.
For a lot of my older stuff, I would draw mostly in a blue col erase, or blue pencil crayon. I didn't really do the more in depth colors until later on as I got more comfortable with the medium.
But in this case, working almost exclusively with blue pencils worked very well, since Beast is blue all over! We had a couple other characters that could've been teething (like Wolverine or Sabertooth), but ultimately we settled on the blue fur ball. The teething ring brings a bit more color to the overall piece.
I drew this on an 9 x 12 illustration board, with pencil crayons.
...and FYI our little Noah is just starting his teething phase...minus the blue hair of course!
